Outline

INTRODUCTION OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

This is a multidisciplinary course that focuses on the key technologies of useful tools for environmental research and the science behind them, the key technologies that change our environmental conditions better, and so on.

ORGANIC CHEMISTRY

Organic chemistry is a chemistry of compounds that consist mainly of carbon and hydrogen atoms. In this course, we will learn the molecular structures of alkanes and their properties.

MOLECULAR BIOLOGY

This course is an introduction to Molecular Biology, which commenced in the mid-20th century with the discovery of DNA as genetic material. Students will learn the chemical composition and structure of DNAs and how the DNA-encoded information is expressed in living organisms.

THERMODYNAMICS

Thermodynamics is the study of thermal phenomena from a macroscopic perspective. The goal of this course is to understand the fundamentals of thermodynamic theory, which is based on the first law (conservation of energy) and the second law (principle of increasing entropy), and to learn how to use various thermodynamic potentials.

BASIC INFORMATICS

This course teaches basic concepts in the field of Informatics and Computer Science. Students learn how a computer processes and handles data and how data is stored and manipulated in a computer
