At academic meetings, students can exchange views and opinions with researchers and students from other universities and institutes and obtain various hints, tips or advice regarding research. Presenting the results of studies at an academic meeting provides a valuable opportunity to consider the direction of research or to review it. Furthermore, as oral presentations and poster sessions are conducted entirely in English at international academic meetings, students can realize the importance of being able to communicate in English. On top of these, some students acquire patents for inventions presented as reports during lectures.
