  • What is the Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences?
    The Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences explores the possibilities of discovering and applying new physical phenomena and aims to create new functions never seen before. It strives to develop highly creative individuals who study science and engineering in a way that combines the two, and promote the harmonious development of industrial technology and natural science. By combining three academic disciplines (mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, and physics) with three key themes (Generation and Utilization of Energy, Understanding Substances and Creating Materials/Devices, and Manufacturing and Creating Systems), the department offers specialized education that can be applied to various areas.
