  • What is the Department of Information and Communication Sciences?
    In this department, students learn about“ information,” which is necessary for the systematic organization and effective use of knowledge. The department aims to nurture individuals who give importance to interdisciplinary perspectives in collaboration with the humanities and social sciences, with natural science as the foundation. It also seeks to nurture individuals who have the ability to deeply understand humanity and society through information, organize knowledge/ wisdom/experience possessed by humanity and society as visible information so that it can be accumulated, combine such information organically, and return it to humanity and society. Students study various fields of expertise with “Human Information Science,”“ Communication,”“ Social Information Science,” and “Mathematics” as key themes.
